Stories
The Battalion
During my time as a Battalion Features writer for Sports and Life and Arts writer, I had the opportunity to cover a variety of sports, including rugby, men's and women's tennis, baseball, softball, basketball and football. I also covered stories about people and campus life. My role involved not only reporting on games and events but also highlighting the unique stories within each sport. A significant highlight of my tenure was following the women's tennis team and writing a story about their historic win at the NCAA Championship for the first time ever. Additionally, one of my most memorable pieces was a feature story about a tennis announcer who was also a beekeeper. This story was particularly well-received and earned me a "Best of SNO" award, recognizing the exceptional quality and creativity of my work. Overall, my experience as a sports writer was both diverse and rewarding, allowing me to explore and share the dynamic world of college athletics.

Texas A&M Yearbook
As a freelancer for the Texas A&M yearbook, I had the opportunity to cover a wide range of topics and events, showcasing the vibrant campus life. I wrote stories about both men's and women's tennis and rugby teams, highlighting their achievements and the passion they bring to their sports. Additionally, I covered the A&M men's lacrosse team, providing insight into their season and dedication.
My work extended beyond varsity sports, as I also wrote a story about the intramural sports at A&M, capturing the enthusiasm and community spirit they foster. I explored campus culture through a story about Chilifest, a popular music event that brings students together for a weekend of festivities. Another notable piece was about Maroon Out, a student organization dedicated to promoting school spirit and unity.

The Bryan College Station Chronicle
During my summer 2024 internship at the Bryan College Station Chronicle, I have enjoyed the freedom to choose and write stories that interest me. This autonomy allowed me to cover a variety of local non-sporting events, such as Bryan's First Friday, capturing the community's vibrant culture and activities. Additionally, I wrote an impactful story about the storms in Texas and their effects on Texas A&M University, highlighting the challenges faced by students and faculty. This experience has enriched my journalistic skills and deepened my connection with the local community.
